Only the Best will do
All of our sawn and round timber is pressure treated using the best timber preservative available. TANALITH 'E' Tanalised timber has become a household name over the last few years mainly due to TV gardening programmes. We have been treating timber on site at Longridge for over 25 years originally using TANALITH 'C' and moving onto TANALITH 'E' in 2002 to bring our timber in line with European legislation. In all that time we have never had a problem with any of our timber, be it rot or insect attack.
Long life is first and foremost the main reason for treating timber. Obviously by treating our own timber we can maintain the high standards which you expect as customers. With a pleasing colour and protection against fungal and insect attack tanalised timber has a great future ahead of it.
Sawn Timber
Our sawn timber is all home grown and first grade material sourced from the same Scottish sawmills which we have used for over 20 years. We hold the largest fencing stock in the North West and are able to supply most non-stock items within two weeks of order. Also specialist machining, weathering, cross cutting, planing, morticing you name it we can do it, unlike many of our competitors.

Round Timber
Our round timbers are all made on site at Longridge. We manufacture a wide variety of timbers from fence posts to play logs, strainers to jumping poles - 50mm to 200mm in diameter and 1000mm to 5000mm in length. We can make virtually anything at a cost.

- Round timber posts, peeled and tanalised
- Machined round poles, playlogs and fence posts
- Tree stakes
- Half round post and rails
- Equestrian poles
- Straining post
- Heavy bollards with domed or chamfered tops
- Pipeline temporary fence posts, strainers and bunting poles
- Railway sleepers - new and second hand
In the sawmill we process over 30 tonnes of timber a day to mainly agricultural end users, but we will have a go at anything. We have made posts for elephant pens, ram raiding bollards to tree stakes and prick posts. You find a use and we will make it to your specifications. Chamfering, doming and pointing all available.
